Opened the garage last weekend and looked at the 17 mxz and noticed the front bogies were wet. Looked up in the tunnel and sure enough... coolant dripping. It has to be a tiny pinhole and there didn’t appear to be any type of dent or damage around it. I’ll have to take out the suspension to bacon the damage and weld it up. Has anyone seen one wear thin? I knew I should have traded it in😂

Any chance its just a weak clamp?

Maybe do a pressure test first?

The XP was the most fun sled ever made - but I liked my XR more. The 850 takes it to a whole different level.

<I knew I should have traded it in>

This is a constant when I'm working older sleds. Two grand for the engine, one for the suspension, another for the track and I might as well buy a new sled.

I know the OP was mostly joking but people think I'm crazy when I say it doesn't cost much (any) more to trade every few years than it does to keep an old one running. No worries - it's their $$$, do what you want with it. All I know is my '21 will be paid for when it's picked up and I'll be sitting on a sled with $10K + value in it if I decide it's time to sell.

But...do what works best for you.

I had hoped it was a leaking hose, but it’s pretty clear it’s leaking out of the cooler, much like it threw a stud or something. This is up at the front by where the front arm bolts.

On the trade in, I bought a 20 freeride and I ordered a 21 summit. We ride both on and off trail and intense enough at both that crossover sleds don’t fit my needs. I’m not made of money😂. The trail sled needed to last one more year! The engine sits at exactly 200 hours and runs just like it did when it was new. The chassis has over 9000 miles and I thought a few new bearings and I’d be in bussiness. Guess not! I’ll report back with my findings when I get back up to check it out.

What sled did you order this year?

I got my 2018 traded and snow check the week before everything got locked down!!

DDS Motorsports were great to work with.

Pressure test with the die and funky light if you can get your hands on one.

Tricounty, I have a 900T coming - well, I'm pretty sure I do.
