I have a 2004 800ho summit and took it to the dealer to have a dess key programmed. seemed like there Buds wont work on it. wouldn't connect to the mpem. would a candoo programmer work? I would invest in one if anybody knows for sure it will work on this 2004 sled?

It should work with a CanDoo. I have had the same problem with an 07 SDI at the dealer with BUDS, but the techs had kept different versions on their computer and found one that worked. You can call or email CanDoo for this question as they have the seen the same problem with BUDS. One SDI owner on DooTalk dealt with the same problem with his SDI to get it connected at the dealer. They wanted to order a new ECM for it. He ended-up bringing his sled to someone with a CanDoo to get it fixed. Fortunately I found the thread on DooTalk that shows the full story. The link will go to the post that shows the dealer had ordered a new ECM and VRR that was not needed. At that time I did call CanDoo pro to confirm, but you should as well for your sled as I can't guarantee anything other than the experiences I have had.
Anyone an expert on the 600SDI engines?
