We're looking to come to the Yellowstone area for Christmas of 2020.  Could you offer some advise on the following topics:

1) On an average year are most of the snowmobile trails outside of the park groomed at xmas?

2) We'd like to rent a condo/house, which counties have good access to the trails?  We've been looking on VRBO unless someone has a better lead?

3) Which websites do you use for looking at trail maps?

4) If we rent a sled/guide for a day of off trail riding, are there any companies or private individuals you'd recommend?

FWIW - family of four, all of us ride and we may apply for the "lottery" to ride one day in the park.  Two of our sleds are BAT compliant.

Thanks

Send me a PM to find you a link to an older conversation folks made up of things to see and where they are at,

Avenza maps in the link above work with your phone GPS to show you where you are, you would want both the North and South half maps on your phone.

Must have had a conversation on email that I was thinking was a post to dootalk as I just can't find the info I was thinking of so I would not have to type it over again.

Just search "West Yellowstone" and you will get lots to look at.

Here is another link with just one of the areas showing a 3D map. (Which I still had the GPS and software that made those maps!)
