I am seriously considering putting a 137 r motion into my 09 gtx 500ss as I will probably be on this sled for another year or longer.  I have had the sled since February 2013 and have put over 8000 miles on it.

I have done searches but I have not found much useful info on putting a 137 rmotion into a sled.  I need to know the center to center hole distance for mounting in the tunnel.

If I got the rear mounting brackets from an xs renegade, will those rivet/bolt into the same tunnel holes as the sc5 brackets?

from the research, the front arm mount hole is drilled further forward.

Are the same bolts used to bolt the front arm to the tunnel as used in the sc5?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Especially the center to center distance between the front and rear mount arms.  And how far down the rear mount hole is from the bottom of the tunnel.

Thank you.

A couple years ago I put an Rmotion skid off a 2014 Renegade X into my 2011 non-Rmotion Renegade X.  I found some info on this message board and reached out to a few for more info.  Note: I didn't put the skid in myself as it was done by someone else, but I gave him everything that was needed.  This is the basics I got from another member.

I installed front support brackets part # 518326616 and # 518326617 which give the exact location of the front skid bolt . These brackets have to be modified to make them fit because of size. Then I removed the rear suspension brackets and replaced with part# 518326954 rh and part# 518326955 lh. They move the rear bolt holes forward into the right location. You cannot use the old brackets because drilling the new holes will weaken them. This way there is no measuring or mistakes to be made because you are using all the original rivet holes. This has easily been one of the best things I have done to the sled. There is a night and day change to the ride quality. You can use your old rear shock but it will need new bushings and I replaced my front skid shock with a new X because the sc-5 shock was too short.

It's been a game changer for me.

Awesome, thank you for the part numbers.

You still have the sled with the rmotion?  was it worth it?

I still have the sled and love it.  Rmotion makes such a difference over the SC5 skid.  I also put in the Slicast front end on which is equivalent to RAS2.  I'm sure new sleds are nice, but this thing is perfect now so don't see any need to upgrade.

FYI - Using those brackets take all the measuring out of the equation.  You remove the old brackets and line up the new ones using the same rivet holes.  This gives you the exact position to drill for the new bolt holes.

Totally worth it.  Good luck.

Also from the member I used for help...  This has to do with "modifying the brackets."

When you get the front brackets you will see that they are L shaped . The lower part is riveted to the running boards on a XRS for support. On a normal tunnel you would have to take out more rivets than it was worth to make it fit. Cutting off the bottom of the bracket and riveting it in the existing holes works well. The new brackets are much larger than the ones removed and they will show you where to drill for the r-motion bolts [front and up]
