I took my hood off to fix some broken plastics and the headlight the other day, and I noticed that the front of the engine and pretty much everything under the hood is covered in a fine mist of fresh injection oil. It seems like it would be the result of a high pressure leak and I'm worried that it could result in a lack of oil being injected causing a major problem. Has anyone dealt with this issue? I've done a few searches online, but none of the results are similar to what I'm seeing. I will take pics and post later on. I talked to my dealer and they haven't seen this problem yet, but thought it could be that some oil spilled from the tank onto the belt and clutches but there is no sign of oil in the clutch cover or anywhere in that area.

fresh oil on front of the engine will mostly be leaking RAVES seals...  if under warranty, just let them fix it.. theres an updated part for the seals now, supposedly better and more durable but  I have them, and the can see them seeping a little..

if not a warranty job,  no biggie to do..  2 seals and a gasket.. roughly 30$ in parts... no need to get the raves synced at the dealer after.. just make sure before tightening up the everything that the raves move freely.. look up a few posts on here on what to do.. takes about an hour and half to do.. once you get used to it takes a lot less.. I did mine twice and few of my buddie's

Is this a new sled? Are you talking about the packing oil they coat EVERYTHING in before it leaves the factory? I bet my 2020 expert had more oil all over it than the previous 5 new sleds i have bought all combined..

It was a leftover last year, one year of use on it. No oil last time i had the hood off.

I 2nd rave valves. Having same issue on my '19 with ~850 miles and my dealer is saying bring it in. Most likely rave valve gasket and 2 seals. Seems to be semi-common unfortunately. Another quick thing to check is the y-pipe bolts that connect to engine. They can sometimes get loose over time but that's a little more obvious with oil around edges of y-pipe connection and not mist everywhere else. Warranty should cover.
