Just wondering what your 850 is going through for oil mine seems a little hard on oil but not sure. On 140 miles I use just a little less that half a tank of oil. Now that is based on the marks on the tank,I am just above the half full mark.I have about 650 miles on the sled and been out of break in for about 200 miles. Just would like some input.

I just put on 355 miles on my 2018 850 tnt in 2 days of riding. I used just over 2 qts of oil. When mine was new it used more during the first 500 mile period. I now have 3874 miles on it and oil consumption has been about the same after the first 500 miles.

Whaat? I ride a 600r, just did 540 miles 2- up I was on the oil light after 370miles, which is closer to 3 quarts. What’s with your magical oil consumption, that’s some seriously granny riding speed.

Depends on trail conditions. Mostly groomed trails from 40 to 80mph. 600 miles to a tank no problem on my 2020.

Days of isoflex are gone....These use more oil then my 800 did for sure.
Just grabbed a 2nd 5gal JUG of XPS from my dealer at cost(175$ or 35$/gal) as I will be needing it. Im on track to go through 8 gallons easily this winter as the miles are racking up now.
I will say, other than oil....the moneys I have put into this sled are ZERO. When compared to my Winder the oil is chump change...lol

My wife and I both had 2016 800 etec's . She switched in 18 to the 850 and I in 19. Both 850's use more oil. My 19 uses a crazy amount of oil.
We did a 616 mile loop last weekend, hers used roughly 4 1/2 litres , mine 5 1/2 litres.

These threads are kind of useless... Only way to really tell is by riding with another 850 and compare to the same conditions/speeds,etc.
RIding with the guys in Maine with lots of WOT? I had slightly more than 1/2 left after 202 miles with ~1000 miles on my 2020. The 2018 850 MXZ in our group took the same fuel and oil consumption as mine.
Riding with my wife with almost no WOT? I had slightly more than 1/2 left after 300 miles with about ~1600 miles on my 2020.
