  • Sled:1998 mach 1 700 triple

Hey guys, new to the forum and had a question because I cant find anything online. Has anyone ever turned a CK3 chassis into a mountain sled? I've seen a lot of REV guys with long tracks and big paddles, but nothin on a CK3 chassis. I've got a 98 mach 1 700 triple. She's old but is still a runner and I would like to chop her up a bit. Tunnel extension, long track, big paddles, narrow skis.... etc...any help would be great.

In the mountains we call them mach tons. Not worth your time unless only as a conversation piece.

The reason you don’t see many is because of the weight of those sleds......it would be a heck of a workout trying to unstuck a big heavy triple!!
Not saying it can’t be done, but in the steep and deep, light weight is what guys want, more nimble and easier to throw a light sled around than a heavy triple.

Welcome to Dootalk!!

Yeah shes a heavy girl. I'm gunna try and gut her as best I can to lighten her up a bit. I live in NH so my version of "Mountain riding" and "boondocking" is nothing like the guys out west at elevation. Just figured itd be cool and fun to build a sled like that from an oldie
