I have been looking to get a performance exhaust for my 2002 mxz 380, but haven't found any that are specifically for a 380. I am wondering if an exhaust for a 2002 mxz 500 would fit on my 380 without any problems.

You'll be better off selling that sled, and buying a sled with a bigger engine. Will be cheaper in the long run.

No, the 500 will not work with the 380.   Not enough back pressure and it would just sputter.   Most likely be less HP.

Look for a 500 motor that will bolt right in.  Be better in the long run.

But I agree, the 380 sleds are becoming more desirable for young riders.   Parents don't want to buy the 600 and 800 sleds for their kids, so the older 300, 340, 377, 380, and 440's are a good option.

Ok. So would a 500 swap in easily, and if I did swap in a 500 would I need to change anything else.

It should slide right in.    Not sure a 550F would, but the 500F from around 1990 through 2004 should bolt right in providing you get all the brackets with it.

You'll need the carbs, Y-pipe, exhaust, etc.  Clutch springs.
