To be completely open, I was impressed with your previous post on how you still could give the dealer the benefit of the doubt. Just as impressive was the recommendation to go in early in the AM. Benefit of the doubt is very close to innocent until proven guilty which is an extremely tough concept to adopt. If we were to document each other's mistakes with our families, friends and careers, it would be chaos. It is important to put things into perspective.

So glad to hear this all worked out Dave.  The dealer in question has always been great to deal with from what my other customers from your part of Oregon have said, mostly new sled sales, so not much feedback on the service department.  I'm sure they will take care of you, especially after the recent events.  A happy customer is great....an angry customer can doo more damage than a dozen happy ones can overcome.

It was great to meet you.  Thank you for your kind reviews of your experience here at my shop.  Next time you are over here to ride, give me a shout and I'll see if I can sneak away for a bit and show you around.  If you ever have any question, feel free to give me a call.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't giving the dealership benefits of any kind, Dave has a spring order deal on the line, I was making suggestions to help him along those lines.

What appears to have made the difference in the end was the GM/owner had the business sense to realize his service dept was in the wrong, from the service manager on down. Odds are fairly good when Dave goes in to pick up those new machines this fall, he sees some new faces, at the very least a new attitude with those highly qualified master techs.

That’s great that you were able to sort things out with the dealer and get a fair resolution Dave. Much better to make amends in this case, especially seeing they are so close to you. I once had a very bad experience with a dealer on a sled repair. Though it was a smaller scale cost wise than yours, it was a big deal to me because I didn’t have much money, lol. Took many years and an owner change before I was able to darken the doorstep of that place. Looking back I wish it didn’t have to be like that.

It was great to meet you too. I've already handed out two of your cards. We'd love to take you up on the ride offer. We've ridden your area several times, but not since they closed Dutchman's Flat......
