Just got the email with pricing info on the new utility accessories they teased in the release videos.

What do you think?

What I was really interested in was the chainsaw and axe mount. The video showed an LED light mounted on a fuel caddy, but I can't seem to find it on the website. I like the multi-mount ability and not being restricted to bumper placement.

The prices are high, as expected, but I wasn't expecting the chainsaw mount to be so limited to wide-tracks. It could be adapted, I guess, but I don't buy expensive accessories only to modify them - I'll build it my self cheaper if I know that's going to happen. I also like how the tool and axe holders are basically quick fist mounts, which you can obtain for a lot cheaper.

I think for now I will stick with custom manufacturing... Neat stuff, though. Glad to see BRP putting more R&D into the utility segment.

Really like how easily the gun boot and auger mount come off so easily also really like the chainsaw mount. It’s about time someone made these simple items that most everyone that rides these machines end up having to figure out. Even better for the people that buy the machine and use it only on a weekend and put maybe 1000 kms a year on them. These are the kind of people most of the items will be bought my. Find it pretty neat to see the axe and saw incorporated into the box. Brp got a big thumbs up from me for accessories! Now to wait till the swt comes out...

I was looking after getting the email as well. Pricey accessories. I’m glad someone finally made an auger mount to go in line with the sled for narrow portage trails. I always chuckle at the guys who come here with horizontal mounts and end up fighting to fit between the trees. I wonder if these accessories will be made retrofittable to the 19 and earlier XU Chassis. I’d like a chainsaw mount and the auger mount both.

Because of this I am hoping the chainsaw mount can go parallel to the tunnel or be configured so the saw is mounted straight up and down. I hate things sticking out when running tight bush trails or crashing through the bush.

With the g4 expy out now I'm kind of hoping the XUs will get cheaper. The g4 and xu cargo rails look similar. Lets hope someone tests it out.

Seems like the saw stays within the width of the machine tipped up like that.  Or if it does stick out it isn't much, I'm sure it depends on the saw some as well.

i had a saw mounted like that around 10 years ago.

the sled liked rolling over to the right expecially in off camber terrain.

now i run with the saw right about where a passenger would sit straight up in the middle of the sled.

the axe is mounted in the rear box.

i could easily adapt my current set up to carry a auger or pole saw the long way.

Anyone running the BRP gun mount with a different brand gun boot?

Any other options for gun mounting?

I have the BRP setup on an XU. The mounting bracket is overweight and should never be mounted on the MAG side of the tunnel. You could find a lighter mount and rig it up
