1. What is the maximum spec. for the crank runout on the 850? (radial wobble)
2. Can the runout be measured to any useful degree of accuracy without taking off the primary?
I blew a belt recently and the damage was somewhat more severe than I had expected. Cracked belly pan, deformed clutch cover mounting plate and a hole in the mesh in front of the left foot (xrs 850, 2018).
This happened about 15 km after the first service where BRP had financed an updated motor mount due to previous belt problems.
BRP Sweden would not cover the damages under warranty because I was presumably running in high-load-snow and the post mortem pictures showed no fabrication faults.
Luckily my dealer only wanted a couple of hundreds of USD to fix it. He assured me that the crank was rarely damaged in accidents like these. I have trust issues in general and would like to verify that the crank is okay.
