Looking for possible ways to narrow up my gade a little to help maneuver off trail. I've heard using summit spindles will work but looking for any other ideas as well thanks

You need more than spindles; you’ll need a-arms and tie rods too, I believe. Spindles could be the same; not 100% sure. Guts from a Backcountry will get you to 38”-40”. Guts from a Summit will get you to 36”-38”.

What about using this:

It's meant for the trail guys to make their stance wider...  But what if you mount them to move the skis inwards???

I was thinking about taking a grinder to slice the stock ones and use a spacer on the inside..  The stock one is only about $11.

Has anyone tried these to widen the stance?  are they affective?

I doubt narrowing one inch - going from 42 inches to 41 inches will make much of a difference but it is in the right direction and the price is certainly in the ball park.

I suspect it depends on how off trail you want to get... you will probably have to go at least to the back country set up to obtain what you want.

Also you wind up changing spindle ski bushings fairly often when  you off site the center line of the ski on the spindle.

Go to a swap and buy 36 inch A arms from summit. There are all kinds at the swaps. Have done this before going out west.

Skidoo sells a 36" inch front end kit. I needed a couple lower a-arms and bought this kit and sold the remainder of the un used items. I think I made over $500 replacing my lower Aarms ;)

Disconnecting the sway bar. , soften the springs and shock compression damping will for sure make it turn better off trail .
