Got this mono block from US Chrome last year bored to an 860. Had an engine builder do the porting, cut the head, and set me up with pistons, it runs good, but I noticed this on the mag side. Looks like it was damaged and attempted to be repaired but now it leaks a little coolant, if you look closely you can see a tiny hole.

I have seen that before. I received a re plated cylinder back once and I found a tiny hole in the casting. I did end up returning it to the re plater and got an exchange. Depending on circumstances I would try some JB weld. Properly cleaned and prepped I think it would hold fine.

Yeah that’s what I’m planning on doing. I think that should hold fine. Really don’t want to have to pay to get my cylinders ported again..

If it wasn’t like that when you sent it away. Tell your engine builder and he’ll communicate between him and the platter to rectify the situation, that’s if he’s a reputable dealer. I had mine engine bored by Kelsey at RK Tek. Found out after first season (was inly a few 100 Km’s on the sled, as I had a short season) I had a small antifreeze leak and I took my head off. Found one piston ruined due to the playing not taking and it flakes off. I sent it back. They redone the playing gave me a new piston w/ rings for the one that was ruined and new rings for the other piston and I never paid.
