I have an 04 summit 800 144. I bought a skid and track from a 04 800 151. I'm looking to lengthen the tunnel for the longer track. Anyone used a van amburg or slp tunnel extension? I don't want to change the cooler so I'm looking for aftermarket extensions that would allow me to use the 144 cooler. Thanks.

A buddy of mine stretched his 144 to a 162 with the SLP extension.  Worked good.  Just remove the 144 end and rivet on the extension.  Simple and looked good when finished.

I extended my '04 from a 144 to a 159 using SLP's rail extensions and tunnel extension. Both worked fantastic for all of last season.

I used A VEI tubeless extension for a XP and modified it to fit my 07. Liked great when finished!

I bought a CR Racing extension kit for an XM and stretched my 159" to 163".  Was a bit of screwing around but turned out good and strong.

Looks great man,

hat did that run ya if you don't mind me asking? Buggered the tail of my summit this past weekend. CR says they only have XP and XM extensions anymore and weren't sure if they'd fit.

That's bad "edit for bad language" ! Did you use the original cooler ? What had to be modified to fit the rev chassis?

With shipping it was just shy of $400 CAD

I did use the original cooler.   Basically I just cut the section of the tunnel off that the snow flap is bolted to, drilled out all of the rivets that the new top part of the extension would come into contact with and used the existing rivet holes.  Then just trim the sides of the tunnel the same as the new extension pieces and start riveting.

Yes, it’s a Boss seat made for the Rev chassis.

Yeah they aren’t cheap! You may be able to find a used one cheaper on eBay or else where.

I don’t have an issue paying that during tax season. Lol I need to buy a new track first.

I found it amazing how much it changed the seating position of a Gen1 REV. I does make the handlebars and windshield a lot lower.
