The SLP had a hard bracket to the frame. With the vibration of the sled it ripped a hole in the pipe. The SLP had a longer design the stretched all the way to the nose of the sled. The MBRP was much shorter.

Ok. The new SLP header doesn't have that bracket anymore, no bracket at all. I think MBRP had cracking issues as well until they moved the bracket to the other side of the frame. Don't really see any reason to have the mount at all. If your sled is radiator equipped the MBRP is an easier mount because as you mentioned, it is a fair bit shorter. Both good choices for different reasons I guess.

What's the deal with needing to replace the spark plugs.

2 hp is nothing. difference between air density day to day is much greater. If you feel you want to save weight, go for it.

Yeah cooler plugs helping with heat as the timing is bumped.....

Ulmer racing adds plugs to his apex power kits too.

I had an SLP header on my 09 1200,after the second year it had burned a hole in itself and it also broke the intake flange of the stock muffler, they claimed 10 hp but there was no noticeable gain

6db increase is 100% increase in volume. So their can is twice as loud as the stock muffler. That's a huge difference

I don't believe any one can feel a 2 to 6 Hp increase riding unless they can feel a pea  under their mattress.

I guess it just sounds faster.May as well chrome it and put some monster stickers on it while your at it.

There still has been no proof from any of these company's to the gains their parts have. You would think one company could give some rel results or maybe there's no proof because of very little to no gains.Just saying
