Cool is that brake reservoir going to look like a piston?

it does kind of look like a piston. works great so far. might start producing them for sale.

Switched to a GGB Trail can from the mountain can, much nicer sounding and much quieter.

New setup on the bars for this season, Munster finger throttle, RSI bars that are 2" shorter over all length with the handlebar hooks, tusk "hold-type" killswitch so tree branches dont kill my sled, relocated the mount for the master cylinder and made it longer so it is further away from the bars and doeskin pinch my fingers when I brake. 20170914_1940231.jpg

cut the old handlebar mount off of the master cylinder, sanded and blended where it was, machined a new one and then welded it on in the correct location from the oem one...

What bars are those?

the RSI backcountry tapered bars. they are pretty much the same as a renthal 609's just with a little longer control area.

okay wasnt satisfied with the ghetto job i did with the brembo master cylinder, ordered a willwood master cylinder, cut down the resi because it was too tall, made a 3/8-24 banjo bolt did some tucking with the electrical and i am very satisfied with the controls now:

haha, no filter. I had a Nikon D750 w/50mm lens for awhile, got rid of that, most recent post with the handlebar pics was with Fujifilm XT-1 with a 35mm

used to do a lot of photo stuff for work, getting away from that now though.

From the feel of it I'm going to love it and i don't see it being an issue with the trees as I have it pointing downward towards the ground.

only complaint is the price.....

built 20 sets of T-motion limiter bushings out of 544 bearing bronze some for sale, some for use on my sled.

really wanting to pick up a TKI belt drive after talking to Tom Kobza at the Denver snow show the beginning of this month...

Added a grab bar from the XM freeride/summit x, cut the barpad down to fit and ordered another one for my other sled.. oh yeah! picked up a "used" 2015 summit X 163 with 432 miles on it that i'm building the exact same as my 154 for the girlfriend/buddy/backup sled.. had the option of getting a 850 but i wasn't that impressed when i rode one last season, i feel like the XM is a great chassis that will last me quite a long time and still has a lot of potential in the years to come.

DSCF0160.jpg

copied controls...

DSCF0161.jpg

my new grab bar :)

DSCF0159.jpg

built 12 sets of ski bushing savers for the XM out of UHMW with aluminum inserts, going to test them half way through the winter before putting them up on the website for sale. if they fail under regular use ill make them out of all aluminum.

DSCF0156.jpg

DSCF0157.jpg

wrap colors for the 163... i might have to copy them for my sled
