I like your thinking as I think the 900 ACE is a terrific all around motor.  I'm confused, what is the base sled you started with ?  did you acquire a freeride chasis with a toasted motor?

header works great, was running it with a modified BRP stock exhaust for this season with the sled set up as a 900x gade.......

, just got the MBRP can in the mail a couple days ago, so results on that will have to wait unless we get some snow in the next couple weeks......... 11 pound 10 ounce weight savings with the mbrp muffler

You mentioned track change and gearing.  On my 900 Renegade Enduro I swapped out the 1.25 ice ripper for a 1.75 X 16 Challenger Trail Lite and dropped the top gear from 24 to 21 teeth.  I was real pleased with the change in off trail performance.

yup, good to hear your reaults, planning on something similar, dont give a lick about top end, like low and mid torque / pull ..

the 900 is really fun off the beaten path

ive got a different sled for the trails, this ones going to be mostly my offtrail days with trail connectors

Didn't give much up on top end.  Will still run 87 on the GPS,which is much faster than I care to go.  Beauty of it is you can idle around in the powder like you;re riding a tundra.

So the XM side panels fit with the MBRP can, will they fit with the stock can? If I keep mine it will get a similar makeover this summer! Looks wicked

u  r  stuck and it looks to me like you are in ECO mode.............

I ran a set of 800 panels all last season with the stock exhaust with zero issues and had the xm panels mounted with stock exhaust also, all foam removed and layed down reflective heat tape on the inside surface, mbrp can fits fine too

Heres a rear facing forward picture of a 16' 1200 stock panel vs. a 16' XM panel for comparison
