I use "goo be gone". I use just a little bit on a cloth and don't rub too hard as I'm always afraid of rubbing through the paint - but haven't yet. It always cleans it off nicely. I will then usually take a mildly soapy rag and wipe it down afterwards just to remove the potent smell. Good luck.

X2 on the Goo Gone. Just cleaned my yellow panels up with it. Works pretty darn good. I rubbed fairly hard and used a good amount on the rag i had and nothing happened to the color. Works good.

I was having this same problem this last week.  I was at the dootalk ride in wi and the boys there came up with a great idea.  We checked the restrictor in the top coolant hose.  The one running from the coolant bottle to the head.  It was plugged up tight, we cleared it and it ran like a dream for about an hour.  Pulled it apart again that night and it was plugged AGAIN.  I finally made the call to pull it out.  Ran AMAZING all day saturday without any problems and very very minor bog at top end after about 2 hours of riding.  Then all hell broke loose.  Head bolt loosened up on sunday and sprayed coolant everywhere.  Tightened it back up and it ran the best it ever had for the rest of the ride.  

My point is im fairly sure mine was bogging because the head was heating up and squeezing a little coolant past the o-rings.  When that happed i think it lost a little compression hence the top end bog.  I would check the coolant lines and restrictor, then make sure your head bolts are tight.  Im pretty sure this was my answer and it MAY be yours.  Im not a doo mechanic or anything but from my experience this weekend it sure seemed like the coolant heating up and pushing out the head was my problem.  Its worth a shot, could be as simple as that.

The ride was great this weekend.  Thanks to Swish for making it happen and planning it out to the T.  It was nice meeting some fellow dootalkers and putting faces with names.  There are some great guys on here and everyone was very helpful.  Thanks again to Swish, Maize, and Revnrob for helping me out with some problems I had pre ride, and thanks to everyone else for being helpful on Sunday when I had even more problems....lol.

The 04 440 was me.  It's been giving me some headaches but the guys on this ride really helped me out and I even learned a few things.  Thanks again Swish, Maize, and Rob.

There was about 45 minutes where I'm sure it could of been had for a great price!

Im sure I would have let it go for a steal Sunday.  Head bolt loosened up and had coolant EVERYWHERE.  Thanks again to everyone for being patient and running back to the bar for some supplies!!!  If it would have blew im sure it would have been first come first serve on her that day.  lol

All in all it was a fun ride for me.  Had a few problems, but nothing that we couldnt figure out.  Thanks again guys for a great ride and all of the help.  Cant wait to do it again next year!!

Sorry guys I was really looking forward to this ride all year but the flu has me down for the count 103.5 fever today. Anyways have fun guys and ride safe.
