i recently rebuilt the sled and went into the bottom end and put new iso flex grease on the bearings could be error on my end or i just got the short end of the straw. who knows at this point maybe ill find out when i crack the case open this week.

 

well 40ish miles in the sled seized  thought i may have melted a piston. well pistons and cylinders are in great shape. but the crank on the other hand is not. i blew a bearing i believe. it worn turn over unless you spin the clutch and it will only spin so far. i will be pulling the crank out and sending it some where to put new bearings pressed in.

 

any suggestions for places to go in south east mi? would really like to get back out there. sled was running GREAT! really pulled.

 

and how big of a hole will be in my wallet at the end of this? (estimate)

as some of you may know my sled blew while trying to sell it so i got stuck with the rebuild. well its took some time to get the garage clean and get my 1st semester at Macomb over with. well i built a leak down tester to find my problem and well i did... This is my first rebuild ever. so bare with me and correct me on things if i am wrong. my dad doesnt have time with work so its just me myself and the radio. aha.











Did i pinch the correct line?

Well yesterday this guy came to look at my sled to buy for 2800 so i can try and get a renegade or get into racing.. well i gave it a compression test 125 psi left cylinder 135 right cylinder. Isnt the best but for 6000 miles on stock pistons and rings... it ant all that bad thats why we settled on 2800 well this sled ran great fired first pull from sitting... not a flaw. We ended up. starting it then killing it abt 3 times then my dad suggested for him to drive it in the lot well it fouled the plugs and a little more.... we got new plugs and well no idle and ran like crap... me and my dad looked at each other with the son af a B face
.. welll the guy took off thinking it was a fouled plug and to call him if i fixed it...

Well it popped.. 60psi left 40 psi right...

Not lucky for me but very lucky for him and it was out of no where.... with not much of a sign..

Now i got a rebuild on my hands... it will be a week or two before i tear into it as i gotta work on my truck.. rotors oil ext then hunting. I will post picks. Now i am gonna do up the sled
.. new track boggies bearings and more...

Has anything like this happen to you when u were selling or purchasing something? I just cant believe my luck.. but better before the snow then in the middle of it...

well i have a spartan trailer. 3 place open drive on/off tandem axle. the rims are 4 lugged  which i thought was weird but the trailer is pretty solid. its wither and 00 or 01 and i got it for $1000. had salt guard on it to.

just want to get some info on these spartan trailers and if i got a good by last season?

Nice 2004 mxz 500ss has 5870mi but dont let that scary you, you wouldnt know it. sled has risers rsi grips vforce 4 reeds skid plate running board supports knee pads lower windshield heated shield plug in L.E.D light bulb in rear and wrap. the wrap does have a some tears in it and a little pealing, ant that bad.

It has an aftermarket rebuildable shock in rear; stocks up front with covers.

track is studded i believe 96.

this is a very nice machine i did alot of maintenance before the our last ride to the u.p. Cleaned the carbs, wiped out reed cages, polished running boards, cleaned the RAVE valves, and airbox, new chaincase oil (synthetic) also took clutches off and cleaned them, both primary and secondary.

asking $3600 OBO or trade for two nice ZX chassis sleds or a rev renegade i have cash to through in if worth it. i am located in Macomb MI 48042
