Only 65 views and no replies to my previous post on this subject - "Lost some items...." So I am re-posting with a different title as the edit feature won't allow changes to just the title. Perhaps an administrator can delete my previous post?

Anyways......

I was trying to tap some aux wires. Found a plug behind the instrument cluster behind the headlights. When trying to tap into them with the engine running (no battery) some of the wires touched each other. Since then speedometer, odometer and beeps for start up and reverse are no longer. I can only find two blue fuses by the oil res. Are there inline fuses elsewhere? I have a shop manual and still can't find any other fuses.

Been riding it quite a bit with no other problems - well, other then forgetting it was in reverse the other day (no beeps) and pinning the throttle - haha. Fortunately my style is to pin it, so the rooster coming from under the front bumper tipped me off pretty quick. Half throttle would have probable thrown me over the bars.

First fire of the the day starts right up. Whenever warm takes a pull and a shot of gas. Doesn't want to start without a quick hand to the throttle while it's thinking about it after a pull. Don't have a heated garage to tinker. What do you guys think? Idle adjustment, or throttle cable tension? My guess is that plenty of "try both" or "try one first" answers will roll in - but I'd hope instead for a possible consensus so that I can knock this issue down in one shot.
