My wife had a miss hap with her sled at the end of the season (2009 gsx 1200), and i have to make some repairs. I have to change the S modual and front suspension support. To do this repair i had to remove the engine. My question is, Should i change the stator while i have the motor out? I herd that some people have had problems with the stator. Is this a common problem with the 2009? or is it something not to really worry about?The motor runs great and it has 12,000miles. we do not run anything on the accesory power. Not sure if it is worth to change now or not . The part is $440 bucks. What would you do? The money is not the problem, but i don't want to throw it away.

my 2009 GSX 1200 electric reverse does not work. It is not the belt adjustment, i have done that. when i press the reverse button the linkage move's almost to the end and then it will come back down. It is like something is jammed and not alowing it to stay to the end. No funny noises or grinding. sled runs fine, just will not stay in reverse. What else can i look for? Going to start taking thinks apart and open chain case. thanks

i have a 2009 GSX 1200. I press the start button and nothing. No lights, no clicking, zero. Tried my wifes dess key from her 1200. checked the 2amp fuse by the battery. The battery has 12.3 volts. Last time on sled 1 week ago it started, stoped and ran fine. Drove it into trailler and sat for a week. Now it wont start. I'm leaving early tommorow morning for north bay . What else can i look for?. I pulled it into heated garage and now going to check for ground wires. How many should i find and were?

when i put my remote on charge it shows the battery charging for about 3 minutes and then looks like it shuts off. the little red light only turns on for a couple seconds and shut off. I'm not sure if it is charging or not. How long will the remote stay on out in the cold before the battery dies. mine only lasted about 15 minutes.

Have any of you guys tried the suction mount on the windshield? It seems to hold very well. Just wondering if it is a safe spot and if it sticks to the plastic good.
