Doh

Lets see, I started snowmobiling at the age of 8, around the house down the hill and around my buddies house. My sled, a 1969 Eaton's Viking, 15 hp Hirth. My friend's, a 300 Skiroulle. He lived on the bottom of the hill.

Next sled in the family was a 1974 Olympic 400 Deluxe. Drove that until 1981, when Dad bought us a create of past model 1980 3500's, Buy 1 get the second for 1/2 price. My brother got the other sled. Drove that one for 2 years, then traded it for my Brother inlaw's 1979 300 Enticer, Special Twin.

I started working at the local Ski Doo dealer, assembling sleds in 1983, moved upto fixing them fast, thanks to my Brother Inlaw being the Head Tech there. Sleds (many of them) in the winter, Farm Machinery in the summer, and chainsaws year around.

Upgraded to a 1981 7500 Blizzard, (basket case I rebuilt) In 1984,I upgraded to a 1983 9700 Blizzard in 1986, fixed it up aswell. Bought my girl friend a basket case 1981 4500 in 1987, (still running it today) Switched jobs in 1990.

Bought a theft recovery 1992 Skandic II in 1993, fixed it drove it for a few years. Sold it, and was remorseful, so I bought another one. Lost interest when the kids came. Now with the boy being 12, I am starting a bonding thing with him, fixing and riding and fixing again.

Next step, Restore the 4500, to above, "Just a driver", then find another "Fixer Upper" to work on with the Boy. He is into Vintage/Late Model/Current Era, anything aslong as it moves. My Daughter on the otherhand, wants to join. But @ 15, wants Current Era/Newer Late Model.

So I am thinking about the next project. I figure it has to be a Ski Doo/Yamaha, prior to Reed Valve/Fuel Injection for my knowledge, but it has to look cool, and go faster than a 4500 Citation.

So the Summit came into play. The boy has learnt a great deal and has it running great, even after removing the HAC. He is learning how to judge what is wrong.
