i put a mark on the primary today with black marker and took it for a ride. it left about 1 1/2 inches of marker on top of the sheaves. So pulled it apart everything seemed fine. I loaded up the pin weight with 25 grams still pulling 8500rpm. this time i only had about a inch of marker left so a improvement. Can my final force spring be too heavy? i rarely go wide open for long so i havent noticed it much before. ill look deeper into my secondary when i get a chance. thanks.

i did put the sled on a track jack earlier. my initial thought was the it was not shifting at all. its seems to be shifting properly but thats not under load and cant tell if its slipping. But i have noticed that the last 2 belts ive had turned yellow on the sides. Im not entirely sure the problem is directly clutch heat although they do get warm, seeing how it happens constantly not only when the sled warms up. But ill try using a marker to see if its fully shifting. and yes i keep the clutches clean regularly, just replaced the spring cup and and fixed sheave bushing last month.
