roetin hornets
29 November 2011 - 09:22 PM
Wondering if anyone uses 1.52 roetins in their 1.25 tracks. Will the 1.52 even work? I have been searching the older posts and all I come up with is that they use the woodys 1.45 studs for the 1.25 track and numerous sizes for the 1" track. Just cant seem to find what size hornets to use in the 1.25 track. Overall length of the woody's 1.45 stud is 1.852 and the roetin's 1.52 is 1.83. So they should work but, just a little confused cause they measure their studs differently! I know I can use the 1.34 with no problems but read alot of posts that 1.34 didnt have enough penetration and they upgraded to 1.45's with good results. Roetin doesnt make a 1.45 stud so I wondering if the 1.52 will work since the overall height is a tad shorter than the woodys 1.45. I know I need tunnel protectors which I already have. Any feedback will be much appreciated.
changing gears
09 February 2011 - 02:30 AM
I wanted to go with the 25/45 13w setup with tensioner but my dealer had me order a 26 hyvo top gear, keep the 49 bottom gear and said that it will be very close ratio to the 25 45 setup. I read on here that the you can only go down one tooth before needing the tesioner setup but dealer says the 26T will work with stock chain and 49t bottom. What do you guys think?
Rebuild Without Counter Shaft
28 December 2010 - 06:14 PM
Has anyone rebuilt a 1000sdi without using the counter shaft and have the crank internally balanced? I heard there is a company that does this and was wondering the reliability and hp gains. Any input would be appreciated!
