The 1200 motor is heavy , I bet a ACE 1200 would be lighter

As it is the 900 ace is only 22 pounds lighter than the 1200 and that is in the XS chassis.

600 Ace Sport - 454 lbs

900 Ace TNT - 485 lbs

1200 TNT      - 507

unfortunately they don't offer the 600Ace and 900Ace in the exact same platform so you don't know exactly how much the extra 300CC cylinder added in weight but I think the TNT is usually about the same weight if not less than the sport.  So using that logic the 1200Ace TNT at only 120hp will be heavier than the 1200 TNT and that is in the XR chassis.  Seems like the Ace engine is not as light as some thought as it gets bigger.

why do people think its cool to lift the skis by standing on the back ,  if your on the tank and she lifts  now thats impressive , hell a 550 fan will the skis while standing on the back ,  and why do people always play stupid music on videos  , id rather hear the sleds engine than some gay disco music

x2

My other thought is that if this sled weighs 22lbs less than the 1200 then once they get the ace up to 130hp it will weight the same if not more than the 1200.  So much for the next generation of lighter 4 strokes.  I thought the XR chassis and 1200 motors were bulky and heavy.  I guess not.

Also when people were testing the 80hp Yamaha Phazer when it first came out, they were saying it was fast with lots of low end torque as well so I bought one.  What a dissappointment that sled was.  Couldnt wait to get rid of it.  So be careful unless you actually tried one.

Thanks for all the input and thanks Rob for helping me out. I was running on a lake, groomed trail with temps in the mid 30's and 90mph was the best I could hit.  DB'er walked right by me in his 800etec and his GPS only hit 90. So i probably topped out at 80mph.  That is aweful.  I used to hit 113 (125 speedo) on my Apex RTX and was hoping for north 100 on the 1200).  Not best conditions but come on low 80's at best?  Have not been impressed with the power of the 1200 so far.

I am hoping to get back on the sled this weekend so will check RPM's.  Sometimes when I back out of the trailer when its warm I feel like the track is frozen but its not.  Give it gas and it just inches out.  Maybe there is a track tension problem?  I had it checked recently though.

Here's an idea....

How about when you rebrand a sled and add your own thinking and engineering to it,

you go ahead and engineer a storage compartment on the back of the seat!!!!!

*%@? A small bag riveted to the tunnel?

Yet another sled with no storage!

Can add push button reverse, but nowhere to put a bottle of water, map, or a cap to wear when

ya stop...

I think they went all in with trying to get the lightest sled possible.  Hoping those numbers come out really good..
