I was pretty sure the electric start wasn't an option on the XRS as its stated on the website, but never hurts to double check.  Are you sure on the 2nd year engine coverage though?  Are you a dealer or anything to put my mind at ease .  Just want to make sure before I ask the dealer I bought it from.

No , I  am not a dealer.  The XRS came with 2nd year engine warranty   spring  order.  I  would ask dealer about it  for sure.  You  can  put electric  start on it  though...    It doesn't hurt to ask if you didn't  get  the 2nd year engine warranty..

I bought a new spring order MXZ xrs 600etec from a dealer that someone backed out on.  A friend told me I should have gotten a choice between the starter or 2nd year engine coverage when I bought it.  Is that correct?

No, 2nd year engine warranty not an option onMXZX unless you wanted to pay for it.   Electric start not an option on the MXZ XRS .
