In Topic: Oil pump failure?

13 February 2013 - 09:46 AM

The second picture looks like the piston seized from lack of oil not lack of fuel because the plugs are still dark in color.  I had a brand new 583 that the oil pump went bad on , it took out both pistons and one cylinder , but crank and bearings were fine .

The pistons were not seized, the only thing tight and hard to move on this motor is the crank.

See since the cylinders and pistons are still in decent shape I figured the problem was a bad oil pump, which killed my bearings and made them tighten up. Anybody have ideas? Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
