ok, well i checked the fuse on top of the solonoid and wiggled the wires around there on the battery and it started right up.  so i'm thinking something was loose there.  Good because it was easy but bad because now i dont know exactly what it was.  It did cut out just before it completely died.  I didnt think anything of it because it was so quick, thought it was my imaginiation.  Is it possible for the relay to be bad but the sled will start back up and run fine?

Also there are two relays i see in the fuse box, are those the relays you are all refering to that could be bad? Do i change both or try each one?  and/or are there others that i should check, and are they all the same?  I know theres tons of info on here about relays, i can search later when i have more time.

I had the same thing happen to me before. Turned out to be a chaffed wire going to the tps sensor. It rubbed through the wire insulator and was going to ground

awesome, i'll check that out.

thanks for the replys. I have had dead batteries before and the sled still runs but not very well, backfires and sputters. In this case it never had that issue, just completely shut off while riding and was dead. I'm not saying that isn't the issue just playing devils advocate and giving more information to see if that helps. I'll play with it tonight and let you know what i figure out. Also the starter just clicking by itself is weird. I could pull out the dess and it still just clicked. Had to hold down the start button for a few secons to get it to stop.

Start with the obvious first:

Do you have gas?

yes, also running out of gas doesn't cause those issues. thanks
