Hello people. I've lived in the southwestern part of Alaska all my life and got no plans to move out. I do a lot of subsistence hunting throughout the year, that's the way I grew up. Snowmachine is used for subsistence and work, mainly hauling wood for our wood stoves and bringing me to places to catch food for our family. Weather could be extreme around here, where you literally can't even see 10 feet in front of you because of a snow blizzard and other times the wind chill gets down to -60F. The key to survival is preparedness and the knowledge handed down from my ancestors, yeah and the dootalk members who help out to solve any ski doo problems when or before they happen.
