In Topic: XRS OR FREERIDE

It's not the ecu that gives the power it's the pipe, high elevation pipes used on the flatlands do give more power, I have been doing this on at races for a while, easy way to cheat with a stock pipe.  I'll let u know how it works, I am from northern NY and ordering the 137 freeride  next week, gonna switch to cobra track, re gear and ride it.  Awesome sled, same as xrs, just in a long track form,  lot of threads on here for it.    Not really a hard concept, changing a track and gear, how many guys just buy em and ride em with out adding anything, very few I do believe, most spend 100's on crap to go fast or look fast.

Get the freeride, I am doing the same thing though I only trail ride about 70% 20%race 10% offtrail.  I am swapping to a cobra track with studs and gonna  ride it. change the top gear to a 25 and your the same gearing as a gade.

thanks for the input, the track swap is no charge, no labor charge either, only found one dealer who would do it and their spring order price is only 80$ higher that next lowest and it's that price regardless of swapping a track they said.

Hate these bashing post.  Guy get something he paid money for willingly, a proven product, then begins to complain before he even tests it according to the directions.  then guys who have engines with a bunch of miles on em put a new top end in and get mad when it burns down know they should have spent the extra 50$ for the lower seals so to be sure it is 100%.  They all get on here and get mad a a guy selling good kits unwilling to admit they maybe have built 1 or 2 engines in their life and might have messed something up?  save your money and our ears next time.  I had the drop in kit and an 827 bb in my 07 gade.  Both worked if you followed directions.
