When I had a black tank when filling up from fairly empty I'd dump in oil for 5 gallons, fill the sled with fuel, and add the rest of the oil at the end.  A few times I didn't leave enough room for the almost quart of oil it'd take so that's why I started putting some in initially.  Plus most of it would be pretty mixed up just from filling.  I use a boat mixing cup for the ratio.  Has a bunch of different ratio marks, holds a quart, and are something like $7. 

What do you use the Boat Mixing ratio cup for ?

That's really sad if you need an app to figure out how to mix fuel....

 

32:1=4 oz oil/gal which is EASY

40:1 is 3.2 oz/gal which isn't the easiest.  Or think of it as 1 quart oil for 10 gallons....or 1/2 qt for 5 gallons....or 1/4 qt for 2.5 gallons.  Can get pretty close by dividing it up. 

Yes I am a Sad Person Sometimes I put in 6.7 or 5.3 or 9.2 or what ever I my sled will take !!!!!

1. It is easy for me

2. I don't have to "think" about it 

3. I don't get close I get perfect everytime with my app

I have an App on my phone for mixing..... plug in the numbers easy as that. I sometimes sit on the sled to burp the tank to get that little extra in.
