XP A-ARM Protectors by C-T Powersports

13 February 2013 - 04:18 PM

Hey all,

Ive been riding on these for a year now, and figured it was a good time to write up a review on this product.

http://www.c-tpowers...Protectors.html

First and foremost, the product works exactly as its advertised. This is a direct, and very simple bolt on product that will protect your A-arms from crap thats hidden under the snow, when blasting through small brush off trail, down in the ditches, etc... An additional, but not advertised benefit that I have found, it that they create additional lift in deep snow, which is awesome!

From their website:

"Our A-arm Protectors help keep the front end afloat in deep snow, as well as adding extra protection to the a-arms. Customers will find that our A-Arm Protectors dramatically improve front end flotation in deep powder; they pack the snow under the running boards so they are not dragging; they help protect a-arms from minor damage and help keep the front end of the sled from sinking in the powder when coming to a stop. The C&T A-Arm Protectors, as one customer noted, "give a whole new meaning to the word sled!"

The protectors are made of 1/8 inch aluminum and powder coated to the color of your choice. Our A-arm protectors work with all skid plates, including the RPM and OEM plastic skid plate. The A-Arm Protectors do not fit the summit models due to narrow a-arms."

I cannot say enough how awesome this product really is, especially for the price. I ride my XRS in some pretty knarly stuff, and these have for sure saved my pocket book on more than one occasion. Ditches, fire roads, back woods, swamps, powerlines, old hand dug drainage rows... All those places have potential hazards sometimes just below the surface that could otherwise get stuck in up in my lower A-arm.

Installation is very easy. Get the positioned...use the provided fasteners, and your done. It took me all of 30 min to get both of them on there, and that was with deciding to re-install them with the smooth part of the nut to the underside of the protector so it did not get snagged on things.

I am looking at picking up a second XP for my wife now that we sold her Rush Pro-R, and another set of these will for sure be the first purchase. At 85 bucks, you really cannot go wrong.

Along with these, they have some other products. Check them out at http://www.c-tpowers...e/Products.html
