BIG JOHN is thinking about retiring his 09 HILLCLIMB

13 March 2013 - 10:28 PM

I'm trying to get BJ to pull the trigger on a new sled and upgrade to something different, but he first needs to sell his SHR Hillclimb MOD...

He's willing to sell it in just about any configuration from the full mod SHR880 with complete Dynoport exhaust, J&T intake/bondi box, bored carbs, V-Force reeds, EXIT Piggy back clicker shocks, 2013 timbersled with matching EXIT shocks and a 3" 156 track!

Also willing to dial it all the way down back to stock and anything in between with the new S-36 handling package, T-motion skid and 154 FLEX EDGE track...the options are endless.

He asked me to post this so if you're SERIOUS feel free to call/text/email him with questions. Keep in mind that this is BJ's personal sled and has been cared for better than any mountain sled out there and he's not going to give it away.

07 XRS full mod build, custom built tunnel and tubular boards

11 September 2012 - 11:23 PM

I'm sure many of you know by now I've been on my way to a fully modded sled, and I think I'm finally just about there. What I have not shown, is what a basket case it was when I received it.

This was what I came home to after the 4th of july weeked 2011

The sled quickly found it's whay to the shop where the planning began. The sled came with a freshly installed 800R with xp case, rebuilt primary clutch and a new track off the 06 X/ 07 adrenaline. What more could I ask for, right??

Plans included:
DISASSEMBLE motor, TRUE CRANK and PROPERLY grease
SHR 860
Bored carbs
Dynoport Y pipe
Lightweight sheave (from donner sled)
Timberled rear suspension (also from donner sled)
Iceage Rails
TKI Billet wheels
FBP Stage 1 valved shocks
Some random powder coating

Now to begin the disassembly

SHR XP boondocking footwell mod...stage I & stage II

25 April 2012 - 12:23 PM

In the shop last week BJ decided to bust out the hackzall and utility knife and get creative. He was finding that his boot would often times get caught on the side panels, especially when doing technical riding through the trees boondocking.

All he used was a hackzall (milwaukee 12v mini hand head reciprocating saw) utility knife and die grinder with a scotch pad for clean up/detailing.

This is a picture of BJ's sled before the mod.....This is after

Here's another after...you'll notice he was just shooting for exposing the aluminum tubing

STAGE II Reverse camel toe
Stage II will require more time and tools and is slightly more involved, but it's a safe way to gain nearly 4 inches :righton

On the stage II reverse camel toe foot well we actually cut part of the aluminum brace along the weld. We had to drill out a couple rivets that fastened what we cut off to the running board extrusion and drill a new hole to re rivet the brace to the extrusion as well as the plastic bottom pan. BJ's not the best at taking pix throughout the process :headbang so you'll just have to look at the pix I've got and get creative.

Here's the pc. of plastic that was removed. Once removed you'll see the aluminum you'll need to trim

To the right of my hand you can see a faint black line. This is how much room we gained
