As the title suggest, just curious as to how one differentiates between the 1st & 2nd Edition... is it a serial break? Is it a manufacture date before/after?

The common thought & according to parts fiche they were all year 2004 manufacture (Unless I misunderstand) also in parts lookup in 2005 I can no longer find the elite listed...

Just this in year 2004:
2004 Elite 1500 1st Edition
2004 Elite 1500 2nd Edition


Also, from what I have found rumor has it 350 units made for the combined 1st/2nd runs.. if so would it be safe to assume 000350 would be the last vin? So.... anyone have past 000350?

From what I understand, only difference seems to be a ECU flash & a higher performance drive belt (at almost 3x the cost 417300207 vs 417300287)

I may be search retarded, but I cannot find the defining difference that seperates the 2...

So, any other info ie: links, specs, etc.. that separate the 2 would be much appreciated!
