My sway bar was gone when I bought it so sorry, I can't really offer any info on that...

Yeah no worries I'm gonna scrap it anyway.. Cause it's binding the shocks!   Plus I can use the shocks which I bought (gas kimpex ones) which seem to be about 1" longer than stock!  I probably won't get to this until late summer...

In Topic: Cyberdyne Coolant and Air Temperature Gauge Install

Where did you mount the ambient air temp sensor? I mounted one under the handle bar steering cap on a REV a few years ago and it always read a little high after sled warmed up. I think engine heat just followed up the column. Yours still look good. And yea, I lost an LED bar on the water temp gauge after a couple of seasons.

I actually mounted on the front bumper off to the left side.. So the wire goes through the front honey comb (black heat shrink on it)... Zip tied with a single black UV zip tie.  I got the idea from Saguenay_Bill1.   It reads a bit high if your stopped... but as soon as your moving after a few minutes it's bang on!

Even going through forests you see it change.  Very cool.

I tried it just behind the swaybar (there's a removal hole cover).. It picked up the clutch heat there.. No good.

I'll grab a pic tomorrow!

Yep mounts look as good as the day I installed them. The ABS joints did not crack.. the paint looks mint as well. The air temp gauge is missing part of the centre digit... No big deal.. But some temperatures I have to guess the temp :)

I'd have to check all the bills but I think the whole kit cost around $70 to gather all the parts, now to get it done and out for storage...I will try to take pics while I'm dooing mine if anyone thinks it would help...

Sounds good.  bajafrenchy1 sent me a ton of information.  Very good pictures too.  I'll have to put it together and post it up.  I've just been swamped with other stuff.

On list for mine is to also remove the swaybar, as it's the type that slides with plastic bushing on it and widening there will be no way to extend it!   I think it causes binding anyway

...for storage but any info you can give me in the meantime would be awesome..

Sunlight kills plastic and rubber.  Make sure your tarp goes all the way to the ground if the sun will be on your sled all summer, a buddy had a (original)  track rot in the sun over a summer.  Also plug your exhaust and air intake so vermin do not nest in them.  I heard spraying fox "edit for bad language" around the tarp will keep them away but I'm not sure I want my sled to smell like fox "edit for bad language".

Ha.  I knew I should have captured the fox I saw a few weeks ago... And got him to take a leak in a spray bottle. LOL

I've tried it all... Mice made a nest right above mothballs in my 500ss chewed some wires.. I've read some say Cat Fur... but I have a feeling they'd just turn that into bedding.
