It's a PRS chassi, poorest excuse for a snowmobile ever made. I would use it for rifle practice then burn it!
IMO Skidoo never learned how to make a snowmobile until the invention of the F chassi, that's when I finally started to own a Doo.

Went waaaaay over board this year not that its a regular thing but it is 13 years old.
Pulled rear suspension and checked shocks out to see if they still work [less than 1000 miles].
Pulled all 15 wheels and pressed out bearings, pulled seals and washed in gasoline, repacked with fresh low temp grease. Pulled seat, gas tank and oil tank and added gorilla tape to all worn areas. Washed out gas tank and replaced inner fuel line and filter. Replaced ALL fuel and oil lines with Tygon. Totally rebuilt both clutches. Pulled carbs down and cleaned and set, boots still like new. New throttle/oil cable. New stator.
All new bushings in the front end.
Took chaincase apart checked out bearings [less than 1000 miles on all drive bearings], washed out and fill with new 20/50 oil. Nothing to motor, only 4000 miles and great compression but did give the PTO a good shot of isoflex. $700 bucks later and almost as good as new. Far cry from a new 12K+ sled.

LOL, back in the early days Tim portrayed himself as this sled know it all. Then he jumps on the phone and talks to Chuck Walters and asked the "how to" question. What ticks me off is he pretended to be the king of performance tuning and patting himself on the back for what really was Chucks advise.
Granted he learned quickly, but if a guy like Joe came along he kicked him to the curb like trash.
Cant stand anyone that will not learn form others because he wants his own little group butt kissers.
He got kicked off snowmobile world and Dootalk for his know it all attitude and cutting down anyone that said any different, so what does that tell ya?

If your going that far then rebuild the motor completely, 10K is a LOT of miles. Don't bandaid it do it right.

You should run the track as loose as you can without ratcheting. This will avoid the suspension binding as it is compressed, because the circumference around the suspension increases as it compresses, and will let the track roll easier.
Cant agree more. Only tool you need is a 5/8" wrench in your pocket.
LOL @ special tools!
