In Topic: 09 gade 800r likes push

21 January 2009 - 12:16 AM

Was out and put some miles on (finally) on my new gade 800r this afternoon on mixed trails. some groomed,  some bombshelled, some twistes and some high speed sweeping stuff. A little of everthing. I was finding a lot of push in the tight stuff. I also was finding the front end a little light, No bite till you let right off and then if you get back on too hard big push.  Where is the best place to start Couplers? What about limiter strap? Is it supposed to be super loose when parked? My sled didn't come with the extra set of carbides(on the outside) and I have just the stock set down the middle. Do the outside ones give you more bite? Mabey I should be thinking about a longer than stock carbide? I have 96 studs in As per brp specs, could I be over powering my carbides?
Thanks for the help.

suck up the limiter strap one hole, coupler to min transfer.  If thats not enough soften middle shock and last crank up
front springs.

In Topic: Anyone come from an Apex and go with a Ski-Doo

11 January 2009 - 01:42 PM

I own a attack a apex rmk and 09 renegade x 800r.  The attack is still the fastest, the ski doo handles great and
decent off trail. Steering feel on the ski doo is fairly hard not as light as hoped and the reliabilty of the ski doo has
been poor. dess problems, hand warmers, belts speedo, fuel gauge never had a problem with any yamaha, I like the
ski doo but need alot more attention. I have 2100 miles on my 09 ski doo and I've done the drag racing to death
between the ski doo and the yamaha. both clutched.
