Middle one should go to the oil tank. The oil tank will feed the drive gears for the oil pump/water pump assembly. The elbow on the right (if I recall correctly) attaches to the fuel pump-it's the pulse line for the pump.

I had a 98' XCR 440, which was basically the 98' XC 600. It was a great handling sled for the time. I have also ridden 98' XC 6-700s and can say they are nice sleds for the year. I have not ridden a 96' FIII, but I have ridden several mid 90's Doos and can say the Polaris will run circles around them on the trails. To me it's not even a question.

Wow, that thing got impressively hot. It looks like it melted the O-rings out of the heads and some of the wire looming. I would consider doing the BRP shortblock as well.

I wasn't really implying that the dealer was trying to do me over, I was more or less implying that if this is indeed the blue book value of my sled it would be very hard to trade every year. Also if my 6 month old sled is devalued this much how much would it be next year? 5200 maybe. This was my first year sledding and I have to say I am hooked, but I was willing to dump 2500 to 3000 for a trade but not this much. I know this is an expensive sport and I am willing to put forth the cash to support it, but I'm not into getting raped . Lol.

Welcome to the sport! Just like road going vehicles, the first year is the worst from a depreciation standpoint. As soon as you put it on the trailer at the dealer and pull out of the lot the value has dropped. Any apprehension to keep the TNT for another year? Many people are going away from the annual trade in and going every-other year or every 3rd depending on the winter/mileage. Good luck to you.

Dealers are there to screw you over, that is how they make money...

This is about it....if you want to get something for it, sell it outright. People trade for the simplicity of it and to build a good relationship with the dealer. I don't think I would ever trade anything in, unless I was really in a pinch. As for the OP's depreciation on his 13' sled...it sucks but the market is what the market is. If you can sell it for $10,000 more power to you.
