07 800R clutch allignment specs.

18 August 2010 - 05:45 PM

<_< I got tired of bending and breaking stuff last year so I made my own brace on the ptoside of the bulkhead. Since then I CANNOT get the clutches lined up. It almost seems as if i pulled the whole motor 3mm towards the clutch side(exactly the same width as my aluminum brace... ) I've played with the allignment and the tightness of the motormount bolts to try and get it back to how it was but no luck..Does anyone know the allignment specs?

I have a floating secondary, but its to far out still....

Im thinking I might have to pull the clutch once again, remove the brace, and drill the holes for the motor mount bolts bigger so they sit back on the original aluminum and not my brace. If that makes sence... but then the bolts wont be punching on the brace to strengthen it more.

any input?

Oil Pump Markings And Adjustment?

21 December 2009 - 02:32 PM

I started fiddling around with my oil pump adjustment because it measured 7mm, when the new spec for the 07 800R is 16.5mm. I moved it up to the 14mm mark before running out of travel.

But i was told that those measurement dont really matter, Its the marking and stopper on the pump that have to match up.

I have it righ now so that, at wide open the lever reaches the maximum stop. and on no throttle its a tiny bit passed the marking.

If this makes any sence.

Thanks. Mark

Cant get over 6K RPMS. Bogs out

28 November 2009 - 08:43 PM

I was riding yesturday and noticed at idle the rmps would stay about 1700, then for a split second fade down, then bump up again. like its in a loop. If that makes any sense. Also when i opened it right up it had a minor bog.

Today. the idle problem was the same. but later in the day i couldnt even hit 7K. the bog seems to start around 6K. it sounds like a sled running on one cylinder after 6K. Just gutless, almost like its overfueling itself terribly

Could it be the crank? havent told in down yet, but i was assuming either the clutches, crank. or rave.

Thanks Mark
