Anyone riding east UP 3/6-10?

01 March 2013 - 03:38 PM

Anyone riding eastern UP Wed to Sat next week?  I finally got notice from work and will be heading up there this week and most likely ending up riding the vet ride in Seney on Sat.  We ride at a leisurely pace, not to fast or slow.

UP ride late Feb or early March

01 February 2013 - 10:40 AM

Anyone interested in doing a multi day ride in the UP, maybe leaving out of St. Ignace?  Sattle bagging or out of a place like Grand Marais?  How many days?  I am thinking after Pres Day weekend since it is notoriously busy that weekend.

Post storm riding

Well, in Cheboygan Co there are alot of trees down on the trails. I have seen the first 6 miles from 27 are a mess and takes a long time to get through. Once you get to Mann Rd it clears up drastically. 99 out of Cheboygan is a mess from what I heard. I am guessing Cheboygan group isn't getting out and cutting trees and grooming. I know it was a rough Friday night here, but they should have gotten it straighten out in a day. I don't know how the rest of the trails are up north. It sucks to think that in a few days Spring will try to melt it all away.

Vet Ride in Seney

04 March 2012 - 07:44 AM

Is anyone planning on going to the Vet Ride up in Seney?  Just curious how many from here are goind.  Don said on fishweb.com  that he has over 200 so far for the ride.  I am going unless we have a warm up next weekend over 45F.  It sounds like fun and for a good cause.  We were planning on staying in Grand Marais on Thurs/Fri to ride a day before then trailer down to Seney on Sat. morning.  If you need to get info or sign up, go to fishweb.com look up the Seney trail condition (he always reports) and his info should be at the top.
Enjoy the snow, be safe, and please stay on your side.
