porting made it run so fat that they both run even. plug and piston wash are so similar that I don't wanna go fatter on the clutch side. In addition to that equation I run a very mild clutch setup from goodwin performance. goal was only to reduce belt slippage. so diff ramps and harder spring but same engagement. also roller secondary. The clutching is what makes that side so hot. more fuel in that case keeps things cool and lubed. remember lean is hot.

UFO's are a great idea, but the airflow is increased something ridiculous like 70% at 5-50% throttle. (being very gracious with the numbers) So the main jets are the last thing to worry about. the pilot and needle are the most affected. and the one thing that made a huge diff was the cut on the slide. We changed that and it made the pilot size come back down to managable numbers, cause it increased the vacuum effect on the pilot vent. gets complicated quickly, but my dad is a very smart ol'timer with carbs. He's tinkered with more than a few. So we figured it out....and by we I mean him. lol! Basically he increased the angle and depth of the cut from the needle toward the engine side something like 1.0mm(as seen from the backside) and +8* overall.

This 670 runs better than any other 670 I have ridden, which has been roughly 20+ others. I ported it exactly as TD had posted and the carbs are a mint match for the setup. On a good day (cold) it runs with 800R revs neck and neck to 75. granted I have it geared one tooth down. I will never let this engine go. i will save it even if I have nothing to put it in. It has made me it's own cost back in 20/50 dollar races with non-believers. honestly i am in love, or it could be the amount of time that I will never get back out of it. either way I would love to put it into a sled with some real suspension. this dsa is killing me. i like the new rear sc3 with c36 i hope its enough to save me from spending thousands on a new ride.

sorry for the babbling, but I know I'm not the only one that has a special place in their heart for the 670 rotary valve. c'mon

I like them. i might buy a 13 if they are a big hit. The time has come for me to buy a new sled and i'm shopping at all four dealers. I like a strong , good handling sled. I'll wait and see what the verdict is on the new chassis before considering it more seriously. need 136 at least for all that sled.
