Chaincase leak at jackshaft- temp.repair or replace?

Last ride I noticed chaincase lube in the running board. Got home pulled the suitcase outta there and could see it leaking where the jackshaft enters the chaincase. Prolly a bad seal.

 

My question, anyone have experience with a product to temporarily patch this VS remove and replace with new?

TRA CLICKERS- replacing 'calibration screw'

Certainly this has happened hundreds of times before.

While adjusting my TRA clicker, when tightening up the nut/bolt it sheared off.

I removed the calibration 'screw', washer and lock nut.

 

My question: can I replace part # 16 in the link below without taking the clutch apart, providing I

locate the washer on installation? I was in #3 click, if I position the bolt with the hash mark pointing toward #3 will this work OK?
