Sliders - I hate changing them

Whats the easiest way to change sliders, I usually stuggle with a screw driver and ham sliding them off and end up putting notch marks in the rails, which just makes it harder to get them off.

Any advise.

2008 600 SDI Primary

I just did some service on my sled and ran it with out the belt on and noticed that the primary would spin out and when then revs went down it would hangup and then "clunk" sound and go back to idle position.

Is this normal or does it need servicing?

2700 miles.
