What is a better for studding your track, hot punching the hole or using a standard track hole drill?

12 XRS Cobra or Rip Saw 1.5"?

24 February 2013 - 09:56 AM

I am looking to replace my 800e xrs track, want to go with 1.5" ripsaw unless somebody convinces me that the 1.325" cobra is the way to go.

I ride on and off trails, little bit of friendly drag racing.

What is top end loss on 1.5" and how is cobra off trail and top end?

Thanks to all that respond...T

Clutching for 800 Etec

05 August 2012 - 08:19 AM

Working on setting up my clutching for the upcoming season.
I have a 2012 800E XRS, with some light mods.

My question is, what effect does the weight of my ramp have on the end of arm fly weight? I am comparing 3 differents sets of ramps, that vary in weight by almost 15g. Two have the same profile, but differ by 4g, and one is thicker/higher profile throughout, (higher rpm) and is the heaviest by 13g.

I am asking about this comparison by obviously using the same spring force.

It would make since to me that the heavier ramp would be more flyweight, thus less end of arm weight required. But, more stationary ramp weight might cause the need for more end of arm flyweight....

Opinions welcome, facts needed.

Thanks
