Bodi, we use the Voile shovels, and probes, tna gear lightning packs, and bca tracker beacons. if you buy the beacon one year, you never have to rent again. we bought ours 5-6 years ago. they have paid for themselves. places at west yellowstone, togwotee, snowies, and cooke rent the beacons by the day or week.
true north adventure gear makes some great stuff. they have an led light with whistle combo, the light can be switched from flashlight mode to strobe by reversing the battery. i put the strobe on my back pack and once it starts getting late in the afternoon, i turn it on. as we ride home, the people following me can see the strobe through the dark, and snow dust. lots of people comment they like that feature in front of them to let them know they are safe.
we will be at the avy class in GR in a few weeks, look forward to seeing all of you again. ski

In Topic: Boss seat
15 June 2010 - 11:01 PM
i bought one of the new 2009-10 seats preseason last year. first ride, i lost 2 pulls without really pulling hard at all. one, my wife flipped the zipper pull up to grab it, and it fell off in her hand, before even applying any pressure to pull.
after emailing the distributor, then boss multiple times. i was told to send the seat in they would replace the zippers, or wait till this summer and send it in, they would put a new cover on for 50.00 and i pay the shipping, then they would give me a gift certificate for another seat for me or my friend, relative ect... for 100 bux. WHAT DOES THAT DO FOR ME???? i already paid 400 plus shipping, now i have to pay shipping again AND 50.00 FOR A OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT??? give me a break, what is your warrantee for?
Returned home from the trip, promptly sold the seat for a loss, and bought a one year old boss seat. the cover, zipper, foam, grip, and overall quality were ALOT BETTER than the "new style seat".
my opinion, dont be a guinea pig, save your hard earned money, dont buy a boss seat right now.
buyer beware, has never rang so true. ski

wedco sells single spouts through most harware and candian tire stores. the key as stated before, stretch the flex portion out when you get it, and leave it extended. fix kit is about 5-8 bux. ski
