How long of a run and what conditions to get it to 118mph? any pics of the stretch where you got it to that speed? Thats a decent mph but could it possibly be geared up a tad without losing too much bottom? Not sure on the pb80 but the XTX feels and acts like its grippier than 377 type compounds. Might be worth a try?

Vforce makes the reeds/boots for the sdi as well. Better off with them. Woke up my 800sdi with the W style over the v style.

Daag

I would question some of the info in the Mach Z build article. How did they do a pressure check of the engine and coolant system prior to disassembly if it had a cracked case?????? They ran custom domes so how did they know what squish was required for the proper squish velocity on a big bore and yet it sounded like they shot for a specific compression ratio. This is a fairly simple task if using the stock domes but a major challenge with aftermarket domes. The information on the line bore would be interesting on the procedure they followed.

Another question is why spend $500 on reeds that supposedly increase flow and then add air filters that are going to reduce flow???

Stretch

Good advice. There is a racer on here that has always said that those aluminum discs are the most overlooked performance increase option on these sleds. Your last comment is also very true and I guess I am being a little picky. Hope their sled runs great.

.....and that said racer couldn't be more right....
