Well I took the reverse out of a donor sled (97 formula 500) and am putting it on my gf's 99 formula z 500.
Anyway everything lines up right and I can't get the reverse to engage, it just free wheels the jack shaft and grinds. If I take the spring off the bottom it works fine(obviously can't ride it that way) but I've tried adjusting the shaft both directions and still the same result... Any ideas? This kit worked when I pulled it from the donor...

best ski combo for S-Chassis

Hey guys, My gf has a 1999 Formula Z 500 and I am trying to make it more rider friendly for her... I am adding 2-3" of foam to the top of the seat and putting a riser of her choice on it.
We have the stock Flex skis on it now, they are in pretty poor shape so I will be looking for a different set @ haydays. 2 years ago I put on a set of woody's dooly carbides on it and she dislikes how hard it is to crank the bars at low speeds. Is there a set of skis that suit the S-chassis better than the stock flex's? I'd like to put on Curve XS's but dont want to fork out that much $ on a sled that doesnt see more than 500 miles a season.
