So my 06 Mach Z picked up a vibration at the end of last season. I saved all summer to have it rebuilt thinking crank, connecting rods and pistons since it didn't explode and I couldn't see any damage. Finally got the money in hand so I pulled the motor only to find a hole in the case over the mag side counterbalance gear. The gear is worn down and spins freely so I'm guessing thats what lead to the vibration. My question is, can I patch that area or does it see internal pressure? I really don't want to have to save up another 400 to 500 before I can put this thing back together.
I'll try to get back over to the shop and get a picture of the damage soon.
