Race Sled Clutch Alignment

20 November 2012 - 12:36 PM

I had a thought about the clutch alignment on my race sled as I am getting ready to realign the motor to switch back to a Formula Secondary from a RER secondary.  On the X/Y specs it states 1.5 mm to compensate for motor twist due to torque and rubber motor mounts.  Now in my race sled, I have solid motor mounts and a torque arm which equates to no motor twist.  Wouldn't it be better to have a X/Y of 0 as the primary would always stay in the same location in relation to the secondary versus a motor with rubber motor mounts that rotates into proper location under load.
