Anyone know of somewhere I can order all the tools needed to pull both clutches in Canada?

Aftermarket Boards

08 April 2012 - 08:37 AM

So I'm trying to decide if I should buy some aftermarket running boards for my Freeride or not. What I'm most concerned about is the strenth. I want good snow evacuation which is obviously better with the aftermarket board rather than the stock Freeride's boards.. But are the Aftermarket Boards able to stand big jumps and drops? I'm very interested in a set of airframes, but my buddy bought some better boards and it looks to me like I could just cut out what is needed and leave some of the stock boards there, for added strenth.. What do you guys think is my best bet??

S-36 Shock options

05 April 2012 - 01:09 PM

Hey guys,

I have a 2012 Freeride 146 and thinking about putting the 36 inch a-arms on my sled. I have little interest in using the shocks that come with the kit... What are you guys using?.. besides the x-package ski-doo shocks.

What kind of problems would I face if I use the stock Freeride shocks?

Thanks guys!

Belt slipping?

02 March 2012 - 11:52 PM

Hey guys,

The last few days I've had a little bit of trouble with my 2012 Freeride 146.

While riding in deep snow, under a little bit of a load, it seems as though the belt is slipping. I've gotten stuck twice because of it! When I got stuck there once, I opened the panel and looked at the belt to see if it was worn or ready to go... but its fine... What I did find was the belt stuck down in the secondary. I pulled it around and around and it came up higher and higher as the secondary closed in tighter.

I adjusted the belt deflection just last night, and the sled still skipped/ratcheted.

I've read that snow may be getting on the clutches, from around the foot holds and to get some material to block it off.

I've also been wondering if the track may be a little too loose. The sled came stock with extroverts.. but can the track still be "too loose" with extroverts?

Something is ratcheting/skipping, and its getting me stuck!! so it must stop haha.

If you've seen something like this and have a fix for it please let me know! I'll try tightening the track, although I really don't think its necessary... Maybe I'm wrong..

Thanks for any help!

Gloves!

12 January 2012 - 10:02 AM

I've tried searching, and have had no luck... So I figured I would start a topic. :)

I want a glove that is very warm, and has great grip. We get a lot of snow here, and temps can easily get into the -40s degrees Celsius.

I was looking at buying the Klim PowerXross gloves. At over $100, I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting. They feel like they provide awesome grip, not sure about the warmth though.

My friend uses Klim Fusion gloves, which have a warm side to put your hands in and a grip side..

anywho, what do you use?? what type of weather to you use them in?

Thanks!
